What it is
BagFacts lists the bag rules of 28 airlines in the US, Canada, the UK, Europe, Asia and Australia: how big a carry-on and a personal item can be, how heavy a checked bag can be, and what bags cost, in inches and centimetres.
Why it exists
Bag rules are scattered across each airline’s help pages, written in different units and changed without much notice, and the copies on other sites go stale. A wrong number costs you at the gate. So every figure here comes straight from the airline’s own page, with the date it was read, and the limits are drawn to scale so you can see the differences.
How it’s kept accurate
Each airline’s pages are re-read on a schedule and whenever an airline announces a change. Every figure lists its source and check date on the sources page, and the comparison pages, airline pages and answers are all written from one set of data, so they can’t disagree with each other.
How it’s paid for
The site is free and may show ads. Ads never appear inside the bag check, and nothing you type into it is sent anywhere: see the privacy policy. BagFacts isn’t affiliated with any airline.
