Privacy policy

Effective 28 October 2026

In short

BagFacts has no accounts, sign-ups or forms that send data to us. The bag check runs in your browser: the measurements you type into it aren’t sent to us or stored. The site uses Google Analytics, which sets cookies as described below. It shows no ads.

What is collected

  • Your bag measurements stay in your browser and are gone when you leave the page. We never see them.
  • Hosting logs. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes standard request information (IP address, browser type, pages requested) to deliver and protect the site.
  • Analytics. We use Google Analytics to see which pages are used. It sets cookies and collects information about your visit, such as pages viewed and approximate location; it doesn’t receive what you type into the bag check. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland it doesn’t set analytics cookies unless you agree.
  • Email. If you write to us, we keep your message and address to reply.

Advertising and cookies

There are no ads on this site yet. Apart from the analytics cookies above, it sets no cookies. If ads are added later, this page will list the cookies they use and how to opt out, from the day they appear.

Your rights

Because we don’t collect what you enter in the bag check, we hold almost nothing about you. If you’ve emailed us, you can ask to see, correct or delete what we hold, or ask us to stop using it, by writing to the address below. If you’re in the UK or the EEA you have these rights under the UK GDPR and the GDPR, and you can complain to your data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office).

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
