Good to know
UltraBasic
UltraBasic includes only a personal item, and a carry-on can’t be bought. The exceptions: flights to and from Europe and Asia include one, and so does buying Extended Comfort for every flight in one direction. An UltraBasic guest who brings a carry-on to the gate has to check it and pays a checked bag fee plus a service fee.
WestJet Encore
The turboprops have less room, so you may be asked to check a carry-on before boarding even if it fits the sizer. You get it back only after the plane has taxied to the terminal.
